With two 14,500 ft runways, a dedicated DC Aviation FBO and 24/7 customs, it is the preferred Dubai arrival for ULR transatlantic and trans-Asia traffic, with quieter ramp and faster turns than DXB.
WHY AL MAKTOUM
Positioning
DWC was built to absorb the business-aviation traffic that Dubai International (DXB) could no longer comfortably handle. Today most heavy-jet, ULR and head-of-state movements into Dubai land at DWC, while DXB sees mostly fractional-fleet and shorter regional traffic. The runway length and uncongested ramp make it the operationally cleaner of the two — and the closer of the two for clients staying in Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah or the new Expo City developments.

- No curfew — 24/7 operation. Customs, immigration and refuelling are available continuously.

- UAE immigration and customs on-field at DC Aviation — clearance typically under 10 minutes including biometric scan.
- Handling
- DC Aviation operates the principal FBO; ExecuJet and Jetex have additional facilities. Ramp parking is plentiful — we book 24+ hour stays on advance request to lock in shaded parking in summer.
- Ground transfer
- Chauffeur to Dubai Marina in 25 minutes, Downtown Dubai in 35 minutes, Palm Jumeirah in 30 minutes. Helicopter shuttle to Atlantis or Burj Al Arab helipads available — useful during DSF and rush-hour congestion.
