Can Pets Fly on Private Jets?

5 MIN READLIFESTYLE & ETIQUETTE

Pets travel in the cabin, off-leash, beside their owners on every Limitless Sky charter — no cargo holds, no sedation, no extra fees. Here is what to know before bringing them on board.

Pet regulations

Most operators welcome dogs, cats and small animals in the cabin. Exotic species and very large breeds may require advance notice and operator approval.

Cabin rules

Pets can sit on a seat (with a blanket), on the floor, or on their owner's lap during cruise. They must be calm during taxi, takeoff and landing.

International travel

EU travel requires a pet passport, microchip and up-to-date rabies vaccination. UK travel uses the Animal Health Certificate. The US requires a CDC rabies-vaccination form for dogs.

Best aircraft for pets

  • Citation Latitude — flat floor, easy movement
  • Challenger 350 — wide cabin, plenty of floor space
  • Global 6000 — multiple zones for a quiet rest area
  • Phenom 300E — perfect for short trips with a small dog

Safety

Pets should remain harnessed or on the owner's lap during taxi and turbulence. Bring water, a favourite toy, and an absorbent mat for longer flights.

Documentation checklist

  • Microchip number
  • Rabies vaccination certificate
  • Pet passport (EU) or AHC (UK)
  • USDA/CDC paperwork for the US
  • Health certificate within 10 days for international travel
