The Festival de Cannes runs mid-May and immediately precedes Monaco Grand Prix weekend — meaning Nice and Cannes-Mandelieu are operating at maximum capacity for almost three uninterrupted weeks.
Arrival
Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ) is the closest private airport — 10 minutes to the Palais. Nice (NCE) handles larger aircraft. For the Festival's opening and closing weekends, book slots no later than February.
Where to stay
Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc remains the centre of the social calendar. Hôtel Martinez and the Carlton sit directly on La Croisette. For total privacy, villa rentals in Cap d'Antibes are the default — typically booked from October the previous year.
Yacht logistics
Most superyachts moor in the Baie de Cannes with tenders running directly to the Palais. Berths inside Port Pierre Canto and Port Vieux are essentially impossible to secure during the Festival without a multi-year relationship.
