Dassault Falcon 8X

Range flagship — three engines, 6,450 nm, London City certified.

The Dassault Falcon 8X is the current Falcon flagship — a stretched, aerodynamically refined evolution of the Falcon 7X with 500 nm more range, 3.5 ft more cabin and the FalconEye combined-vision flight deck. It is the only ultra-long-range business jet certified for the London City 5.5° steep approach at full payload.

The three-engine PW307D layout gives the 8X the shortest balanced-field length in its class (6,000 ft at MTOW) and true ETOPS-style redundancy over ocean crossings. Cabin altitude at FL410 is 3,900 ft — matched only by the 7X — and cruise sound level is measured at 49 dB, quieter than the Gulfstream G650ER.

Dassault Falcon 7X

Original three-engine ultra-long-range — 5,950 nm at 15–20% less cost than the 8X.

The Dassault Falcon 7X was the first business jet designed entirely with digital flight controls (2007) and remains the workhorse of the three-engine Falcon family. 290+ delivered, deep charter availability across Europe and the Middle East, and a real 5,950 nm range — non-stop London to Los Angeles or Geneva to Beijing with eight passengers.

The Dassault Falcon 7X range and cabin are almost identical to the 8X's; the differences are 500 nm of range, a shorter cabin (39 ft 1 in), and no factory London City approval. On the charter market, the 7X quotes 15–20% below the 8X — usually the smarter pick when the sector is under 5,500 nm.

The Falcon 900LX is the smaller three-engine sibling to the 7X, aimed at operators who want three-engine safety and steep-approach certification without paying ultra-long-range hourly rates. 4,750 nm range covers non-stop New York to London or Dubai to Paris with 10 passengers.

The 900LX shares the Falcon cabin cross-section (6 ft 2 in wide, 6 ft 2 in tall) and delivers a class-leading 51 dB cabin sound level. It's the Dassault Falcon jet of choice for owners flying frequent 3–5 hour sectors into demanding fields — Aspen, Sion, London City, St. Moritz.

Dassault Falcon 2000LXS

The large-cabin twinjet that opened up London City to heavy-jet passengers.

The Falcon 2000LXS is Dassault's twin-engine large-cabin offering — the workhorse of the Falcon family with more than 600 delivered across all 2000 variants. 4,000 nm range, a full stand-up cabin, and the shortest balanced field length of any large-cabin twinjet (4,675 ft at MTOW).

New-generation twinjet (2023→) — widest cabin in class, 5,500 nm range.

The Falcon 6X entered service in late 2023 as the widest and tallest cabin in the large-cabin twinjet class (8 ft 6 in wide × 6 ft 6 in tall), designed around a 5,500 nm mission profile. First Dassault Falcon jet with a skylight and the FalconSphere II EFB.

Dassault Falcon 10X (2027)

Coming 2027 — 7,500 nm ultra-long-range flagship with the widest cabin in business aviation.

The Falcon 10X is Dassault Aviation's forthcoming ultra-long-range flagship, scheduled for entry into service in 2027. Advertised range of 7,500 nm (non-stop New York to Shanghai or London to Perth) and a cabin cross-section of 9 ft 1 in wide × 6 ft 8 in tall — the largest of any purpose-built business jet.

Powered by two new Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X engines, the 10X will be the first Falcon with a widebody-scale forward crew rest and a permanent aft master suite with full ensuite. Falcon 7X vs Falcon 8X — which should I charter?
The 8X is the 7X's direct evolution: same three-engine layout, +500 nm of range (now 6,450 nm), a 3-zone cabin and slightly lower fuel burn. Charter the 8X for trans-Atlantic and longer; the 7X remains the cheaper option for European intercontinental hops.
Why do Falcons have three engines?
The 7X, 8X and 6X use a centre-mounted third engine for redundancy on extended overwater (ETOPS) operations. It also lets the aircraft maintain full climb performance on one engine out, which is why Falcons handle hot-and-high airfields no twin-jet competitor can.
Which airports can a Falcon 7X or 8X access that other heavies can't?
London City (LCY), Lugano (LUG), St. Moritz (SMV), Aspen (ASE), Telluride (TEX), Sion (SIR) and London Biggin Hill steep-approach runway. The Falcon family is the only large-cabin jet line certified for the steep approaches these airports require.
