London business aviation airports
Five fields handle the vast majority of UK private charter — which one is right depends on your aircraft size, departure time and where in London you're starting from.
Farnborough (FAB)
Premier business aviation airport for west London and the Home Counties — 24/7 customs, two dedicated FBOs.
Luton (LTN)
Late-night slots, easy access from north London and the M1 corridor. Harrods Aviation and Signature operate FBOs.
Biggin Hill (BQH)
South London and Kent. No commercial traffic, fast handling, growing transatlantic capability.
London Stansted (STN)
Best for heavy and ultra-long-range aircraft — Inflite The Jet Centre handles Globals and Gulfstreams.
RAF Northolt (NHT)
Closest civilian-accessible field to central London. Slot-controlled; aircraft permission required 24h in advance.
How UK charter pricing works in 2026
The UK charter market is the largest in Europe by transactions, and pricing is more transparent than most clients expect once you know what to ask. A typical one-way light jet (Citation CJ3, Phenom 300, Pilatus PC-24) from London airports starts at £4,900–£9,800 depending on distance and season. Add 15–25% for a midsize aircraft (Challenger 350, Praetor 600), and 40–70% for a heavy or ultra-long-range jet (Global 6000, Falcon 7X, Gulfstream G650).
Three line items drive variance: aircraft positioning (the cost of flying the jet to London if it's not already there), peak-day surcharges (typically +20–30% on Friday afternoon and Sunday evening from June through August), and handling fees at the destination FBO. We disclose all three on every quote — no consolidated "all-in" line that hides the maths.
For ski-season pricing (Geneva, Sion, Chambéry, Innsbruck) Christmas, New Year and February half-term carry a 30–50% premium. Outside those windows, midweek slots are often less expensive than the same route in Mediterranean summer.
