London–New York is the world's flagship transatlantic private jet corridor. Westbound flights operate in 7h 15m to 7h 45m against prevailing headwinds; eastbound returns run closer to 6h 30m. Ultra-long-range aircraft dominate the route, with Teterboro handling the majority of Manhattan-bound arrivals.
The hardest leg in private aviation — winter winds, peak FBO congestion, jet-stream math.

RECOMMENDED AIRCRAFT
HEAVY JET
Transatlantic-capable with a technical stop at Gander or Shannon on some payloads.

EDITOR'S AIRCRAFT PICKS
Winter westbound — no compromises
Only two aircraft we'll quote for non-stop FAB → TEB at MTOW between November and March. Both carry 14 passengers across with NBAA IFR reserves on a 220-knot headwind night.
Summer non-stop value
April through September the headwind component drops to 60–90 knots and these aircraft cross non-stop with full payload. €25,000–€40,000 cheaper per leg than the ULR pair with a comparable cabin experience.
The single-stop play
Brief 25-minute tech-stop at Keflavík (KEF) or Shannon (SNN) — barely longer than a sit on the ramp at TEB. Cabin is super-midsize, eight passengers, and you'll land at Teterboro for €60,000–€75,000 all-in.
CORRIDOR NOTES
Eastbound is easy: tailwinds, fuel margin, your pick of the heavy fleet. Westbound from October to March is where operators earn their fee. The jet stream sits at 180–220 knots over 50°N — a Falcon 7X that crosses non-stop in July needs Keflavík in February. We won't quote a heavy that can't make Teterboro with FAA reserves; ask any broker who promises otherwise to send you the OFP.
TEB ATC slots westbound peak Thursday 16:00–19:00 EST as the corporate weekend exodus stacks. If your meeting in London ends Thursday 18:00 GMT, you'll land at TEB into a 35-minute hold. Filing Westchester (HPN) recovers 25 minutes and puts you 20 minutes from the Connecticut shoreline. Stewart (SWF) is the deep-state backup — almost no traffic, a 55-minute helicopter to the Hamptons or a Mercedes via I-87.
Manhattan heliport in 8 minutes (Wall Street or 34th Street). Hamptons in 38 minutes block-to-block. Greenwich in 12 minutes. We pre-position the helicopter on the FBO ramp so customs clearance is wing-to-rotor with no terminal transit.
WHEN TO FLY
| WINDOW | NOTE |
|---|---|
| Sun–Mon 10:00–14:00 GMT westbound | Light corporate volume; widest aircraft pick and softest pricing. |
| Thu 16:00–19:00 GMT | Peak westbound surge into TEB; 20–35% premium and slot risk. |
| Fri 09:00–12:00 GMT westbound | Hamptons weekend traffic; consider HPN or East Hampton (HTO) direct. |
| Nov–Mar all departures | Headwind season; price the leg, not the round-trip — book G650ER or Global 7500. |

CORRIDOR FAQ
Hand-written by our dispatch team for this specific corridor — not generic charter FAQs.
Jet-stream headwinds. From November to March the wind component over 50°N routinely exceeds 180 knots, adding 60–80 minutes of block time and 15–25% to fuel burn versus a summer westbound. Aircraft that cross non-stop eastbound in 6h 15m can need 7h 50m westbound — and a Falcon 7X at MTOW with 8 pax may not make TEB with FAA reserves at all.
Only two: Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500. Both carry 12–14 passengers non-stop FAB → TEB at MTOW on a 220-knot headwind night with NBAA IFR reserves. Anything else — Falcon 7X, Global 6000, Challenger 605 — should be quoted with a single 25-minute tech-stop at Keflavík (KEF) or Shannon (SNN).
TEB is default for Manhattan (8-minute helicopter to the Wall Street or 34th St heliports). HPN (Westchester) is 25 minutes faster on Thursday 16:00–19:00 EST when TEB stacks behind JFK arrivals, and puts you 20 minutes from Greenwich. SWF (Stewart) is the deep-state backup — almost no traffic, ideal for Hamptons via 55-minute helicopter or Catskills weekend houses.
The helicopter is pre-positioned on the FBO ramp at TEB before your jet lands. Customs clears onboard the jet; you walk 40 metres to the rotor and lift off within 6 minutes of chocks. Wall Street heliport (JRB): 8 minutes. 34th Street heliport: 10 minutes. East Hampton (HTO): 38 minutes.
Yes — all heavy and ULR aircraft we charter accept pets in-cabin with no carrier restriction. For cargo over 250 kg or oversized art / instruments, we'll spec a Falcon 8X or Global 7500 with rear cargo door access and confirm CITES or carnet paperwork 48 hours pre-departure.
INSIDER TIP
"If you must depart London on Thursday evening, ask us to file Stansted (STN) Diamond Hangar instead of Luton or Farnborough — same ground transfer time from Mayfair via the M11, faster slot, and the FBO closes 30 minutes later than FAB."
EMPTY LEGS
Empty legs run frequently in both directions Monday–Wednesday, driven by London and New York based ultra-long-range fleet rotations. Discounts of 40–60% versus retail charter are common when timing is flexible.

FAQ
Heavy jets start around $78,000 one-way for up to 12 passengers with a possible technical fuel stop. Ultra-long-range aircraft (Gulfstream G650, Global 6000) run $95,000–$140,000 non-stop with bedroom configuration. Flagship cabins (Global 7500, G700) start around $120,000.
Approximately 7h 30m westbound (against the jet stream) and 6h 30m eastbound (with tailwinds). Non-stop operation requires an ultra-long-range aircraft; heavy jets typically stop at Gander (YQX) or Shannon (SNN) with a full transatlantic payload.
Teterboro (TEB) is the default for Manhattan and Midtown — 12 miles from the city and served by Meridian, Signature and Jet Aviation. Westchester (HPN) suits Greenwich, Connecticut and Hamptons onward transfer. Republic (FRG) is the fastest access for East End Long Island.
Yes — pets travel in the cabin alongside their owners on every Limitless Sky charter. Let us know the species and weight when you request a quote.
We recommend 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 30 minutes for international, including customs. There are no security queues — you drive to the aircraft.
