CORRIDOR NOTES
Very few of our Nice clients are actually going to Nice. Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) is the funnel airport for Monaco, Cap Ferrat, Antibes, Cannes and Saint-Tropez. The final 20–35 km happens by helicopter (NCE apron to Monaco Heliport in 7 minutes) or by pre-arranged car. Planning the ground leg at booking — not after landing — is what separates a 3-hour door-to-door trip from a 5-hour one during F1 week.
Grand Prix weekend (late May) and Cannes Lions (mid-June) turn NCE into the busiest private-aviation field in Europe. Outbound slots from LTN and FAB tighten 6 weeks out; NCE parking sells out for the full event window and aircraft that don't have confirmed parking are forced to reposition to Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ), Toulon (TLN) or Genoa (GOA) for the weekend at the client's cost. We confirm both slots and parking at booking for any May 20 – June 25 flight into NCE.
CEQ is 6 km from central Cannes and closer than NCE to the Croisette hotels, but the runway takes light and midsize jets only (no heavies, no Global / G650) and it's closed at night. For a Praetor / Challenger 350 mission with 6–8 pax during Cannes Lions or the Film Festival, CEQ can beat NCE on total door-to-door time by 40+ minutes. For anything heavier, or arrivals after 20:00 local, NCE is the only option.
July and August, NCE apron parking is billed by the hour and can add €4,000–€12,000 to a round-trip if the aircraft stays on the ground for 3+ days. For weekend trips this is fine. For a 10-day family stay, we typically reposition the aircraft to Toulon, Nîmes or back to base and re-quote the return separately — usually saves 15–25% on the round-trip total.
