Air Operator Certificate (AOC)
The European equivalent of a US Part 135 certificate, issued by EASA member-state authorities to companies authorised to conduct commercial air transport.

An AOC is the document that legally enables a company to fly passengers or cargo for hire. The certificate names the company, the aircraft types operated and the approved areas of operation.
