Dassault Falcon 900LX Charter

The Dassault Falcon 900LX is the current-production development of the Falcon 900 line — the 2010 refresh of the 900EX that added Aviation Partners high-Mach blended winglets for a 200 nm range improvement, updated EASy II avionics and modernised cabin. The 900LX remains in production today alongside the newer Falcon 900 developments (900B, 900C, 900EX, 900LX in operating history).

For charter the 900LX is the current, premium trijet — the only modern three-engine business jet in production, and the aircraft to specify when trijet reliability, ETOPS-free transoceanic routing and short-field performance are all simultaneously required. It sits directly against the Gulfstream G500 and Challenger 650 in the eight-to-twelve-passenger transatlantic segment.

Cabin dimensions match the 900EX: 33 feet 2 inches long, 7 feet 8 inches wide and 6 feet 2 inches tall. The 900LX introduced updated interior architecture — contemporary trim, LED lighting, Falcon Cabin HD+ cabin management with Bluetooth pairing and 4K displays on late-production aircraft, and Ka-band Wi-Fi as standard.

Standard layout is a 12-passenger three-zone configuration; charter builds seat 14 with a crew rest. Baggage volume is 127 cubic feet accessed in-flight. The lavatory is fully enclosed with vanity, natural light and belted seat. The galley is a full three-crew installation with hot food, oven and espresso.

Three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines with FADEC, plus new blended winglets. Maximum operating Mach is 0.87; long-range cruise Mach 0.80. Certified ceiling is FL510. NBAA IFR range with eight passengers is 4,750 nautical miles — enough for New York to Rome, London to Mumbai, Los Angeles to Honolulu with reserves, or Dubai to Singapore non-stop.

Balanced field length at MTOW is 5,360 ft. Landing distance is 2,415 ft. The 900LX retains the trijet's exceptional short-field performance and ETOPS-free routing capability, and adds meaningfully improved fuel burn thanks to the winglets.

Charter hourly rates run $10,500–$12,500 in North America; €11,000–€13,500 in Europe. Empty-leg availability is thin — fleet is young and premium. Indicative pricing: New York to Rome from $82,000; London to Mumbai from £92,000; Paris to New York from €78,000; Dubai to Singapore from $95,000.

Against the 900EX the 900LX adds range, winglets and modern cabin at 10–15 per cent higher cost. Against the G500 the 900LX offers three-engine ETOPS-free routing and better runway performance; the G500 offers 700 nm more range and Gulfstream service network. Against the Challenger 650 the 900LX offers three-engine reliability and shorter runway performance at similar cost.

Charter the 900LX when three-engine reliability, ETOPS-free routing over oceans and remote terrain, and access to runway-constrained airports are simultaneously decisive. It is the only modern trijet in production and the aircraft of choice for heads of state, cabinet ministers and clients whose missions genuinely require three-engine assurance.

Prefer the G500 for maximum range with Gulfstream service network, or the Challenger 650 for a wider cabin at lower cost. For clients who value trijet reliability above all, however, the 900LX is unmatched.
