Dassault Falcon 10X Charter

The Dassault Falcon 10X is Dassault's flagship ultra-long-range aircraft and the largest, widest and tallest Falcon ever designed. Launched in 2021 with entry into service targeted for 2027, the 10X pairs a clean-sheet Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X-powered airframe with 7,500 nautical miles of NBAA IFR range, a cabin cross-section wider than a Global 7500 and full fly-by-wire flight controls of all surfaces — the first business jet in history with fly-by-wire ailerons, elevators, rudder, flaps, slats and spoilers under a single integrated flight-control system.

For charter clients the 10X will be, from 2027, the natural challenger to the Gulfstream G700/G800 and Bombardier Global 7500/8000 flagships. Order book positions are already committed; empty-leg availability is not a concept that applies to a launch-position ULR flagship. The 10X profile here describes the certified specification the aircraft will enter service against.

Cabin dimensions: 53 feet 8 inches long, 9 feet 1 inch wide and 6 feet 8 inches tall — the widest and tallest business-jet cabin ever certified, wider than a G800 or Global 8000 and taller than any Falcon. Standard layout is a 19-passenger four-zone configuration including forward crew rest, forward lounge, dining/conference, private stateroom with en-suite lavatory and dedicated stand-up shower — the first shower in a purpose-designed business jet cabin below airliner-derived VIP conversions.

Cabin altitude at FL410 is 3,000 ft. Cabin management is standard FalconCabin HD+ with 4K OLED displays, voice control, Bluetooth pairing and Ka-band Wi-Fi. Baggage volume is 198 cubic feet, in-flight accessible. Windows are 50 per cent larger than the Falcon 8X's — Dassault's response to the Gulfstream signature-window standard.

Twin Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X engines deliver 18,250 pounds of thrust each. Maximum operating Mach is 0.925; long-range cruise Mach 0.85. Certified ceiling is FL510. NBAA IFR range with eight passengers is 7,500 nautical miles — enough for New York to Shanghai, London to Buenos Aires, Hong Kong to Los Angeles or Los Angeles to Sydney (with reserves and typical winds) as single nonstop segments.

Balanced field length at MTOW is targeted at 6,000 ft. Landing distance is 3,500 ft. The full fly-by-wire flight-control system with active-control side-sticks and Dassault's Digital Flight Control Enhancement will offer the most integrated flight-control envelope protection in business aviation. FalconEye combined-vision head-up display is standard.

From entry into service in 2027, charter hourly rates are expected to run $18,000–$22,000 in North America and €19,000–€23,000 in Europe — comparable to the Gulfstream G700/G800 and Global 7500/8000 flagships. Empty-leg availability will be non-existent for the first two years. Indicative pricing (projected): New York to Shanghai from $260,000; London to Buenos Aires from £250,000; Hong Kong to Los Angeles from $270,000.

Against the Global 7500 the 10X offers a wider and taller cabin, full fly-by-wire and 500 nm less range at comparable cost. Against the Gulfstream G700 the 10X offers class-leading cabin cross-section and comparable range against the Symmetry flight deck and Gulfstream service network. The 10X is the aircraft to specify from 2027 onward when the widest cabin in production ULR aviation is the priority.
