Dassault Falcon 6X Charter

The Dassault Falcon 6X is the widest and tallest business-jet cabin in service — 8 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 6 inches tall, wider than anything Gulfstream or Bombardier build below the Global 7500 and wider than the entire G500/G600 line. Certified in 2022 and entering service in late 2023, the 6X replaced the discontinued Falcon 5X programme with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engines and a clean-sheet Dassault design philosophy focused on cabin volume rather than absolute range.

For charter clients the 6X is the aircraft to specify when cabin volume, cabin altitude and Falcon short-field capability matter more than absolute range. It sits directly against the Gulfstream G500 and Bombardier Global 5500 in the eight-to-fourteen-passenger long-range segment, offering the largest cabin cross-section in that class at competitive rates.

Cabin dimensions: 40 feet 4 inches long, 8 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 6 inches tall. Standard layout is 12–14 passengers in a three-zone configuration with forward four-place club, mid-cabin conference or club-four and aft three-place divan with berthing. The cabin includes a class-leading skylight over the galley — a Dassault signature — and 30 large windows through the main cabin. The Falcon 6X cabin experience is arguably the most refined in the class.

Cabin altitude at FL410 is 3,900 ft. Baggage volume is 155 cubic feet, in-flight accessible. FalconEye combined-vision head-up display is standard on the flight deck. Cabin management is standard FalconCabin HD+ with 4K displays, Bluetooth and Ka-band Wi-Fi. The lavatory is fully enclosed with vanity, natural light and belted seat.

Twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engines deliver 13,500 pounds of thrust each. Maximum operating Mach is 0.90; long-range cruise Mach 0.80. Certified ceiling is FL510. NBAA IFR range with eight passengers is 5,500 nautical miles — enough for London to New York into typical winter westerlies with reserves, Dubai to London, Moscow to Los Angeles or transcontinental US at high-speed cruise.

Balanced field length at MTOW is 5,480 ft. Landing distance is 2,375 ft — best-in-class for a large-cabin airframe and a direct benefit of Dassault's fighter-derived low-speed handling philosophy. The 6X can access airports that the G500 and Global 5500 cannot reach at full weight, including several European mountain-region fields.

Charter hourly rates run $11,500–$14,000 in North America; €12,000–€14,500 in Europe. Empty-leg availability is thin — the fleet is young and mostly operated in Europe. Indicative pricing: London to New York from £108,000; Dubai to London from $82,000; Los Angeles to New York from $60,000; Geneva to Dubai from CHF 88,000.

Against the Falcon 900LX the 6X adds cabin width, cabin altitude, modern avionics and 700 nm of range at 15 per cent higher cost. Against the Gulfstream G500 the 6X offers a wider cabin, better short-field performance and 200 nm less range at similar cost. Against the Bombardier Global 5500 the 6X offers a wider cabin and better runway performance against 400 nm less range. Charter the 6X when cabin experience and short-field capability are the priority in a long-range airframe.
