Gulfstream G600 Charter

The Gulfstream G600 entered service in 2019 alongside the G500 — same PW815GA engines uprated for the larger airframe, same Symmetry flight deck, same cabin philosophy, but a 12-foot-longer fuselage and 1,200 nm of additional range. The G600 sits between the G500 heavy and the G650/G700 ultra-long-range flagship, offering the widest range envelope in Gulfstream's non-ULR line.

For charter the G600 is the modern Gulfstream large-cabin heavy — the aircraft to specify when 6,500 nm of range matters but a G650's cabin volume is not required. It sits directly against the Bombardier Global 6500 and Falcon 8X in the eight-to-fourteen-passenger long-range segment.

Cabin dimensions: 45 feet 2 inches long, 7 feet 7 inches wide and 6 feet 2 inches tall. Standard layout is a 14–19-passenger three-zone or four-zone configuration; charter-common builds carry 14 passengers with two berthable divans, dedicated crew rest and full three-crew galley. Cabin management is PlaneView Cabin with 4K displays, voice control and Ka-band Wi-Fi standard.

Cabin altitude at FL450 is 4,850 ft. Baggage volume is 175 cubic feet accessed in-flight. Two lavatories on longer-mission builds. The G600 cabin is one of the most refined in production alongside the G650 and Global 7500.

Twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW815GA engines deliver 15,680 pounds of thrust each. Maximum operating Mach is 0.925; long-range cruise Mach 0.85. Certified ceiling is FL510. NBAA IFR range with eight passengers is 6,500 nautical miles — enough for New York to Tokyo (with reserves and winds), London to Cape Town, Los Angeles to Sydney (via a stop), or Dubai to Los Angeles.

Balanced field length at MTOW is 5,700 ft. Landing distance is 3,600 ft. Runway performance is competitive; the Symmetry flight deck offers the same advanced pilot workflow as the G500 and G650.

Charter hourly rates run $14,500–$17,000 in North America; €15,000–€18,000 in Europe. Empty-leg availability is thin. Indicative pricing: New York to Tokyo from $195,000; London to Cape Town from £185,000; London to New York from £110,000; Dubai to Los Angeles from $165,000.

Against the G500 the G600 adds 1,200 nm of range and cabin length at 15–20 per cent higher cost. Against the G650 the G600 gives up 500 nm of range and cabin width at 15 per cent lower cost. Against the Global 6500 the G600 offers Gulfstream service network and Symmetry flight deck. Charter the G600 when long-range Gulfstream capability short of a full G650 is decisive.
